Cross Country was added in our first expansion of athletics in 2006. From the first year the Cross Country team has consistently held the highest standards for competition. Every year they are in the running for the league championship and reaching the CIF finals. The boys have won league six times and the girls have won league five times. The boy’s and girl’s cross country teams have each won CIF Championships twice and have sent teams to the CIF State Finals in Fresno, CA. Every year VHTPA Cross Country looks to mold raw talent to maturity with quality coaching, primal workouts and developing a true love of the sport.

Boys Coach Louis Nelson

Coach Nelson brings his competitive and professional athletic background to train our cross country runners. Coach Nelson has successfully helped each athlete reach their fullest potential and encourages their growth every day. We are happy to have Coach Nelson as part of our coaching staff and thank him for his continued dedication to our athletics program.

Girls Coach Kirbria Lewis

Coach Lewis is an integral part of our cross country team as well, coaching our award winning girls team. Coach Lewis has made it a priority to provide a space where student athletes can excel in their sports while supporting their growth in the classroom too. VHTPA is very lucky to have Coach Lewis part of our family.
